Iverhart Max for dogs by Virbac is a powerful medication for the control and treatment of certain worms and parasites that are common to dogs.

Like Virbac’s Iverhart Plus, Virbac’s Iverhart Max is able to eliminate immature forms of Dirofilaria immitis, also known as Heartworm, in both puppies 8 weeks and older and full grown dogs.

Regular use of Iverhart Max in conjunction with the consultation of your veterinarian can aid in the prevention of heartworm disease.

Roundworm, Hookworm, & Tapeworm

In addition, Iverhart Max for dogs can be used for the treatment of Roundworm (both Toxocara Canis and Toxascaris Leonina) and Hookworm (A. Caninum, U. Stenocephala, and A. Braziliense,) and unlike many other popular worm and parasite treatments, Iverhart for dogs is also effective in the treatment of Dipilydium Caninum and Taenia Pisiformis, two common and dangerous forms of Tapeworm.

Triple Threat to Parasites

The three powerful active ingredients in Iverhart Max are specially formulated to work together to eliminate parasites. Ivermectin disrupts the proper nervous system function of parasites. This causes first paralysis and then death of heartworm larvae. Pyrantel pamoate reacts with the nervous systems of roundworms and hookworms to bring death in much the same way. Praziquantel effectively kills tapeworms by damaging the skin of the parasite which leads to death. Once exterminated, the parasites are passed naturally through your dog’s digestive tract.

Iverhart Max for dogs comes in a tasty beef flavored tablet that your dog can easily chew and swallow. Each package of Iverhart Max includes six tablets and should only be used according to the instructions of your veterinarian. Iverhart Max comes in four different dose levels for different sized dogs.

Iverhart Blue, Brown, Green & Pink

The dosage for toy sized dogs from 6 to 12 pounds is packaged in the pink box; the dosage for small sized dogs from 12.1 to 25 pounds is packaged in the blue box; the dosage for medium sized dogs from 25.1 to 50 pounds is packaged in the brown box; and the dosage for large sized dogs from 50.1 to 100 pounds is packaged in a green box.
